I booked a milesplusmoney ticket in PE to SFO for Dec this year and was looking forward to experiencing the Upper Deck for the first time (have only ever been downstairs in the 747's and in the 340's.)

A drastic change of circumstances meant that a trip to SFO would be wholly innapropriate, and I thought that I was going to have to reconcile the fact that I was going to end up losing my miles and my money, with the ticket so tightly restricted.

I called in the blind hope they may be able to do something and after a little umming and arring and a chat with the supervisor, my tickets were changed for a trip to JNB instead, so I get to see New Year in in Cape Town! Oh and my first trip upstairs in the 747 on VS. Yeah!

Virgin do know how to lok after their customers, so long as they are legitimately in a fix..... It took a broken engagement on my part, but when I am knocking back ANOTHER glass of Stellenbosch's Finest, I won't be worrying about any of that!

Thank you Virgin!

Welcome to V-Flyer UpperDeck:D

I think the reason why most of us are Virgin fans is the fact the staff are mostly very flexable..my best example was my -18000 millage overdraft!

Basically I wanted to book a reward ticket for a mate after booking a UC and PE flight..normally you have to fly to get the miles..but since I wanted my mate to fly back with me the lady kindly offered a millage overdraft. As both flights were not flexable she didnt think I'd not go!

Hi UpperDeck & welcome to V-Flyer :)

Not the best circumstances, but I'm really glad VS could ease the situation somewhat and help you out! Their customer service can be really exceptional :)

Hope you enjoy the flight...

Cheers
