Manchester dropped from BMI Longhaul

SO BMI have just announced they're no longer flying longhaul out of Manchester from spring of 2009.

That includes Chicago, the Caribbean & Vegas. Add that to BA no longer flying to JFK from Manchester from last month, and do we think there is room for VS to step in and add a couple of USA routes?

Guessing there's room but airlines don't normally drop profitable markets?
