How long for new Silver card & tags to arrive ?

Mrs Kered & myself both qualified (re-qualify for me) for FC Silver on the 30th September, but to date we have not yet received our silver cards & bag tags !!

When I last qualified for Silver, some years back, I dont seem to recall it taking this long for the new card to arrive.

How long does/should it typically take from qualification, to receipt of the new membership pack ??

I re-qualified for Silver membership a week ago. My FC account is now updated to say I've re-qualified & that I'll recieve a new membership card shortly before my current one expires. My current card expires at the end of December, so I would expect to recieve the new one in mid-December as a guess.

When I say Òre-qualifyÓ for me, I mean I've re-qualified for Silver, having been Silver for a year, several years ago, but have been Red since.

Our accounts were updated on the 30th Sept. with the new membership numbers, to show we're Silver Tier now, but haven't received the cards & tags yet.

BTW, as a supplemental question, why do VS change the FC membership number every time you change tier ??

I'm on my 4th number now, having been Red initially when I joined, got promoted to Silver, back to Red & now up to Silver again ! Creates a bit of an administrative mess I think.

Surely it would be simpler to have the one membership number through all the teir changes, like BA do !!!

I'm waiting for mine since I just made Silver, and my girlfriend who requalified months ago is waiting for her replacement Silver with a card that expired in September. Luckily, because the numbers do change, anyone in VS knows that a member number starting 008 is Silver.

I hadn't used my Red account for 4 years but VS re-activated it without asking. My wife moved up to Silver earlier in this year without a membership number change so you must be unlucky !!

I'll be moving up in 3 weeks so hopefully I won't have the same issues as you have had.

The Silvers with 008

& the Golds with...well I never had the pleasure of finding out [:(]

So it does seem that every time you change teir you get a new number.

My wife and I qualified end of August.

My wife got her Silver kit within a couple of weeks. I am still waiting for mine. 2 hassle emails to Flying Club and the latest is I should get mine in 4 - 6 weeks [V]

My wife and daughter both qualified for silver after our VS trip in the summer; one has received her Silver card, the other hasn't.

Just for completion - 009 is Gold (inc PAMS) and 004 is for Flying Co!

Well at least it looks like I'm not alone in experiencing major delays in receiving the new silver pack [ii]

Flying Co ??

Flying Co is the corporate counterpart of Flying Club, my company gets extra miles from our people flying in addition to their frequent flyer accounts, and then these can be used for upgrades, clubhouse access etc. PAMS is a dedicated service for VIP Golds. My boss is the only one in our company that is in that club and suffice to say, its pretty good at the top!

BTW I don't know how much consolation it is, to hear that you're waiting for your Gold pack, when I'm thrilled skinny & that's only for lowly Silver [:w]
