Hi Everyone

I am flying on Thursday and have been lucky enough to obtain a VH Voucher in order to use the Clubhouse. I have 2 questions though if anyone could help I would be very grateful.

1. Is states on the form I got I head for Fast Track- does this mean I can use the Virgin Security Channel- I have never used it and as I am flying Premium Economy, otherwise I would not have the chance.

2. Is there a time limit to arrive at the Clubhouse, I am trying to see if I can pay on the day to go from PE to Upper, therefore I was going to arrive at 10am for my 2pm flight is this OK?

Many thanks to all.

Hi Jonny,

I presume when you are talking about the Virgin security channel you are talking about travelling via LHR? fast Track is different from the VS security channel which is a dedicated channel for those travelling in UC or for gold members. It will not be available for you but there is a separate Fast track channel in the main security area which is the one you will use.

There is no time limit with regard to the Clubhouse unless one has been imposed by your voucher and arriving at 10:00am for a 2:00pm flight is perfectly in order.

Enjoy the time in the clubhouse and your flight.

Which airport are you flying from, Jonny ?

You talk of the Virgin Security channel, so I assume it is LHR.

I have no idea about the protocol of using a VH voucher, but would suggest a 10am arrival for a 2pm flight is perfectly reasonable.

Have you been able to pre-book treatments with the voucher? If not I suggest you give it a go. I am sure people who have used vouchers in the past have talked of pre-booking treatments.

My Gosh thank you so much for your replies- I almost got whip lash! hehe!

Yes, it is LHR as I am travelling on the VS45. Shame I cannot use the Private Security Channel, anything to avoid the long lines of people!

Would you think I just show the voucher and they would accept that for us to use Fast Track, I don't want to be the person who is sent away! The Shame for getting it wrong!

Yes Nick, I booked a few treatments a couple of weeks ago, they came back to me the same day, which I thought was pretty good, even though there was only a column for Upper Class or Gold so I just clicked Upper Class!

One final thing, so sorry to hark on about it however, does this look good for a pay on theday upgrade tomorrow:

J2 D2 R2 Z1 W2 S2 K0 Y7 B7 L7 M7 Q7 X7 N7

Many thanks

In a word, no.

J2 = [:0]
W2 = [:0]

MORE likely situations would be involuntary downgrades if J & W check in full, or IDB....

Oh Gosh, well I hope I still have the PE seat I booked, as I am not so sure I would like to be downgraded. Also I cannot get on to manage my booking etc and check in so not looking good! I think I would just prefer to go on the later flight![:)]

If you get to the airport early you should not suffer a downgrade in my experience. Be the last to check in the cabin could result in being pushed further back the cabin.

The last time I checked in at the 2 hour mark, I was moved forward. However I hate cutting it fine with regard to times when flying.

If your form states head for the Fast Track channel, then I'd make sure you have that on you and show it to the security guy as you enter. Mind you, I'd be tempted to check with the Virgin check-in area hosts when you arrive at the airport to see whether it actually means you can use the Upper Class Wing security channel. If the form is generic to multiple airports, for instance, then they could use the word 'fast track' in a generic sense too.

This is interesting as we are flying PE to MIA on Friday and we also have VH Clubhouse passes but nowhere does it say we can use Fastrack, though to be fair we have always had a sticker put on our boarding cards at check-in to say we can.
