747-400 Config 1

Does Virgin no longer have any 747-400 config 1 aircraft in its fleet?

No, the LHR config is now config 4, the LGW are config 2/3. Config 1 was the old LHR config but this does not exist anymore.

Many of us on here are sad about that fact too. PE on the upper deck is by far and away the next best thing to flying UC, but sadly it is now only available on the ex LGW/MAN routes. Virgin wanted to increase both the UC and PE cabins on the LHR fleet and the solution was unfortunately to make the upper deck all UC.
