Antihistamines are good to help keep any inflammation down. I suffer badly with sinus problems and this is what my doctor told me. I now have some steroid nasal spray for this problem but that is on prescription.

Not sure if this will work or not on sinusitis...

When I get a cold or for some random sneezing fit, I treat it by doing with Jala Neti. No, it's not some miracle snake oil cure but 'nasal irrigation'. Sounds hideous but works very well.

Worth a look. http://www.shopneti.co.uk/index.php

I often carry out nasal flushing with a neti pot, It always works for me. 100% natural and very very efective if done correctly.

I can understand your worries, I had a 9.5 hour flight to India and within the first hour I was in excruciating pain and suffered all the way.
Touch wood I have never had to worry again, but the day will come no doubt.
The answers you get will be noted for later use.
Good luck and I hope you feel better very soon.

Now don't shoot the messenger

You could try sex...... I was once told by a senior Dr that there is a theory about connections between all midline body structures.

An o****m is supposed to clear your sinuses......

Otravine.

I, and many other, people use it for skydiving. Works a TREAT, and I mean in *extreme* pressure change situations (15k ft in 60 seconds or so) Available from any store (inc. boots)

How is this administered? Does it work instantly and last very long?

Spray it up your nose - just like a sinex tub. Instant, and lasts for 6 hours on one or two 'squirts' [y]
