First VS flight recorded in Flying Club was September 2002 to MCO, I I'd flown a couple of times on VS before I was aware of FC so I'm guessing around April 2001 for my first VS flight. No idea what aircraft but it would have been been one of the LGW ones as my first VS flight was to LAS in Y - shudder [:D]

Thanks,
Sarah

1995 on VS007 to LAX, in the newly named Premium Economy. The clearest memory is seeing a trolley loaded down with bowls of strawberries being pushed though PE to the UC area in the bubble. That's when I knew I was meant to be up there.

First ever, 1984, RAF Abingdon in a 2-seat Chipmunk. Elated and scared witless at the same time. So full of adrenaline that I barfed into the radio mask.

Feb 2000 - VS19 to SFO in Economy

Had always flown BA, recently joined SUN and had to go to the US at short notice. Was impressed with the service and age of the crew.

Only now fly BA when using miles, or on a route that Virgin do not fly to.

My first VS flight was circa 1996/97 on VS200 LHR-HKG on one of the A340-300. A few more VS flights in the late 90s and early 2000s before I joined Flying Club in 2003. The amount of lost miles [B)]

My first Virgin flight was early 80's. I used to fly regularly to New York and in keeping with most of the City swtiched from BA Business Class to UC. I seem to remember you were picked up by red Volvo's (provided a competitor didn't hack into the computer and cancel it). The wow factor was amazing, wonderful service, a party like atomosphere on board, free economy tickets per sector, and I still use a gold cross pen that was handed out on one flight.

I wonder if anyone taking their first flight nowadays will look back with such fond memories?

My first Virgin flight was 27th August 1999 LGW-MCO in economy.

My most memorable Virgin flight(for the wrong reasons) was a delayed MIA-LHR 10/09/01 landing into LHR to news of the terrible events on 11/09/01.. The crew must of known but didn't utter a word to us passengers.

First Virgin flight was LGW-ZAG-LHR (yes Zagreb!) in 1992

It was on G-VRGN and was a relief flight taking supplies at the beginning of the Yugoslavian conflict. I have photo's but this site won't let me upload them today?

There were only 8 of us onboard (including 3 man flight crew) and I managed to sit in the flight deck for the whole fight back. Landing back at LHR in heavy rain was quite a treat, especially as there wasn't enough weight over the front wheels to turn off the runway. Massive understeer as we aquaplaned to the end of 27R before going slow enough to turn.

I still remember really clearly how big and strange a 747 feels with just 3 passengers!!!

Who remembers the BBC 1 tv programme 'Holiday' with Cliff Mitchelmore? Circo 1984.

Those of you that do can carry on reading[;)]

My first flight was advertised on the above proramme for those with a fear of flying. Approx cost as I recall £30.

I think the flight was out of LGW.

We were given a briefing beforehand & then boarded the plane (no idea what type ). Whilst airbourne several pax were interviewed & if I recall correctly, the side of me could be seen.[:D]
We flew over the south coast on a beautiful suuny morning.
At the end of the film, I could be seen disembarking [:D]

It must have worked because later that year I took my first real flight to Montpelier - well south of France somewhere if not there[:?].
It was on a Fokker 28 (prop job for those of you too young to know what I've been woffling on about).
