I must have asked this last year, but now I am back I want to book for next years trip to Key West my hotel is booked from 23rd Dec to 6th Jan but I will prob stay at MIA if I can get a reward flight or wherever for a couple of nights first.

My original plan is to go to MIA then stay in Miami for 2 nights then get a limo down to the Keys in daylight as I missed the scenery last time being a night ride.

At present there are Gs up to 16th Dec to MIA I really needed 20th ish, there appear to be more available to JFK.

How easy would it be to get down to MIA from there.

Shall I wait to see if I can book a return G or bag a single now.

If push comes to shove I could pay for Zs and keep my miles but will any of them even become available........ohhhh the stress lol.

Sorry to waffle its just I am itching to book.

Hi Egg,

Not quite the same but we did a similar trip in October.

We did the VS17 out to EWR and then stayed overnight in the on site Marriott. Got the 10.00 am flight to MCO out of EWR with Continental and was sat by the pool with a cool beer at the Hard Rock in the early afternoon.

I would assume that MIA was just as easy and of course because you have already done immigration the night before, you won't have the normal MIA hassles.

Going back to EWR was just as easy and of course plenty of flights back to the UK although we did stay in NY for a few days before going home.

HTH

JFK - MIA is a piece of cake, AA have a ton of flights down to there as they are both major hubs for AA.

the AA flight up to EWR the night before and the daytime EWR->LHR flight back to the UK is our favourite way of coming back from Florida.
