VS are offering me the chance to upgrade my Boston flights from PE to UC for 341 each way.
Can't justify UC both ways, so I'm wondering...

If I upgrade the outbound, I get to use the LHR Clubhouse and of course a great way to start a holiday with drinks in the bar on board etc.

If I upgrade the inbound then of course I get to use the bed as it's an overnight flight, but then it is only about 6 1/2 hours. The Boston Clubhouse looks great but clearly not as nice as LHR... and of course while PE looks very comfortable for the inbound flight, maybe we should end the holiday on a 'high', and can use Revivals at LHR.

Also, if I do upgrade, what two seats would be recommended, remembering Matt can be a bit nervous?

What would you do?

For me? I would do PE both ways to be honest. BOS is such a short flight and PE is more than adequate for it, in my opinion, the saving will help pay towards another trip.

However if you really want to upgrade to UC one way then I would say, outbound for me. You get the LHR CH which is amazing and a great way to start the holiday, plus you get to be awake for the full flight and get to use the bar etc.

The return, by the time you have taken off, maybe had some food, got the suite converted to a bed, you would only get a couple of hours before they are waking you up about 70/90mins out of LHR for breakfast and to secure the cabin.

I've just reread my first post, and even in that I'm swaying towards the outbound. But... PE does look perfect for the length of flight, and £682 still goes a long way to spend in the US!

If you're lucky, the outbound might still allow CH access via the Itineries.

PE out, Upper back.

Upper's about the bed (I'd argue, albeit with no foundation, that a PE seat might be *more* comfortable than UCS in seated mode), so make use of it on the night flight.

UC out PE back.

Make the most of the CH before departing and enjoy the service onboard. [y]
You can still use the bed on the outbound flight if you feel like a couple of hours sleep. Then just relax in PE on the return.[:D]

Good luck

Well, I suppose I need to make my decision by 10.00pm tomorrow as I expect this low upgrade cost won't be around when the sale ends...
