Q Class Ticket

I am booked on a Q class ticket to ORD. The ticket was booked through my corporate travel office. Question is, can I upgrade this ticket at the airport? Using miles, or cash + miles?
I cant ask the corporate travel desk to buy a higher class of ticket (credit crunch), so can I do it myself directly with VS?

To use miles, you will first need to upgrade the ticket to an L class fare with cash and then use miles on that, this is obviously dependent on there being reward seats available in the class you want to upgrade to when you come to do it.

Yes you can - at the airport too. My colleagues to do this with miles or cash frequently just get a quote at the ticket desk (AMex is their corporate TA too).
