Hi,

This will be me 1000th post to the forum in little over a year of being here as one of the founder members of the site. My hasn't a lot happened in this time! To give you an idea, I've been a member of FlyerTalk for nearly 5 times as long, but have only posted 500 more replies in all that time on FT - and most of my post count at FT has been either in the Virgin or AmEx forums!

I would like to say a rather large thank you to Pete (or more commonly known as pixuk) for all the work he has put into making this site the de facto place for many of us to visit on an almost daily basis.

I've met a number of the members from here over the past year, and I must say its been a pleasure on every occasion - and to my friends at the various Virgin companies, thank you for all your support and help.

I really hope you as our registered members (~700 of you) and our lurkers (~75,000 of you per month) enjoy the information and harmony you find here. I sit there at times writing reference documents, and think are people really interested in this level of detail? The resounding answer is yes (though my contacts in Premier and Marketing do urge me to get out more....:))

Look forward to the future, and hopefully see you all again soon at the post-Christmas party.

Thank you to all of your for support of the site and please do let us know if there is anything more we can do to make this place even better.

Thanks,
Richard

Gotta say that (even if you don't get out much ;)) you do a tremendous job of the reference guides - I don't think there's any question about your level of expertise & knowledge on the subjects! Thank you for all the work you put in too mate - tha' does a sterling job (still gonna let you get the beers in at the Post-Christmas bash though :D).

Cheers

Can't agree more with everything that has been said above ... all the mods do a great job! This site is one of the most informative and friendly I belong to and use regularly. A little too regularly according to my my co-workers, they think its all a little sad. Well they haven't flown Virgin so just don't get it.

And Jonathan looks like you too are about to join the 1k users too.

See y'all at the bash in Jan!!

Foz :o)

I'm a bit tired now so doubt I can match the great initial post of LRoM that being said however I'm glad I stumbled across this site and have made a lot of friends and travelled a few K with some on here!!

Anyway Thanks to one and all for making this one of the best places on the net!

Doh, thought the thread was about seat 1K :D
To all involved the site is great, and loving the new look and features, particulary the Mileage and TP calculator (thats just got me excited seeing what I'm going to earn next year!)
It too is a site I visit regulary in the day and has made it into my core group of sites that I always check first thing in the morning before breakfast.

Anyway, got to create a new profit and loss sheet now, so keep up the good work!

Richard

An excellent way to mark your 1,00th post.

I am a complete newcomer to internet discussion boards and the way you and others have not only made me feel welcome but also gone out of your way to provide useful info has been my reason for continued support of the site.

Long may it continue

Congratulations to both Richard and Jonathan on reaching the 1000 posts level.

A special thanks to Richard for all the hours and effort he has put into this site, for one of such tender years Richard, you certainly have amassed a wealth of information! I am glad you choose to share it with the rest of us.

Anyhow, talking of noteworthy events, did anyone notice we passed our first anniversary quietly and without celebration? Aaccording to the Members List; Pix became a member on the 3rd November so I guess that 3rd November 2004 was our first anniversary (well in this incarnation anyway, some of us were members of Pix's earlier effort :)).

Congratulations to all V-Flyers, everywhere!

Also I would like to give a big thank you to all those who contribute greatly to this most informative website. Keep up the good work boys and girls.

Happy Flying and see you onboard :)

No,

Could not fill in the application form. They would not accept TXT language, they wanted it in some old fashioned language called English!
and written too. Don't they know today we either write in TXT or get the computer to spell check?? [:o)][:o)]
