Hi all

G-VFAB is due to go to AMS shortly for a re-paint and will emerge in a special 21st Birthday colour scheme featuring a giant Varga girl on the rear fuselage. I dare say it'll be on a.net within seconds of coming out of the paintshop! :D

Cheers

I doubt they will do the entire fleet in the new colors since it seems like it will only be around for 2005, but none the less, this is excelent!:D

Edit: Also, I hope they come out with a limited edition die cast model w/ this cs.

Don't forget that G-VFAB was the first aircraft to wear the new VS colours, and she came out wrong the first time - too "metallic grey" rather than "pearly" - so it's probably just part of the normal paint cycle.

When I flew her to MIA a couple of weeks ago, I noticed parts of the tail logo decals peeling off, so it's definitely due!

Cheers,
Mike

I thought the same VS-EWR.

I had wondered when vs would do a diffrernt paint scheme on one of there planes but i think it will be hard to follow the like's of Qantasor SA

I presume not. It's VS 21st Birthday this year but if it takes as long to repaint them all as it did from the old colours to the new colours the scheme would be a bit out of date by 2012! ;)

A bit more info: VFAB is due out of the paintshop on 15th April.

Cheers

Hehehe, someone on A.net put up a post claiming that he was the first one to tell people about it. Psh, 5 days before it is supposed to be released. Thanks to Airchabum, we've known about it for a month! :D

The poster on a.net is InTheKnow, who IMHO is one of the stars of that forum. Like many who have supported Virgin, he gets a lot of unnecessary stick.

Thanks to airchabum for giving us the scoop though ;)

Seen your reply on A.net to the "scoop" news about GFAB-only 3 weeks after we read it here! Also seen the comments about it. is the poster actually a VS-staffer as he/she claims to be?
