I can't understand this, we got the fares through at half eleven yesterday and they are still not up on the site properly.
I hope I saved some people some money... any donations to the running costs of v-flyer as a thank you would prbably go down well with the mods!

Feel like crying! Paid 800 more for the exact same LGW-MCO August 09 flights that are now on sale today for 2598 for 2 people [:(!]

Can you cancel and rebook?
If not, maybe you'll get more miles and tier points...

At that price I would guess they are non-flexible tickets.

The issue of booking just before a sale has cropped up several time. The consensus has always been 'win some, lose some'.

Thanks to the OP. Although I've lost out on my Feb flight by 200 at least I've secured my May ones at an excellent rate.

Thanks again

Thanks for the heads up Edward and mods I've just invested some of my savings on renewing my subscription, another bargain.

Took a few days for it to show at up at Quidco too. It covers the CC surcharge at least. (don't let me get started on that one though!)

I booked my UC flight to NY through Expedia on Quidco

price was 2.50 more than Virgin site, but got 1% cashback, 200 nectar points, and no credit card charges

Yes, there are alternatives, but as I have a VS Black Amex card I get 4400 miles & 3%/28 from Quidco, so made 14 after the 14 surcharge, and gained some miles. If I didn't have the VS CC, there's not many reasons to book direct.

Thank you

That was the point I was trying to make, that booking direct with Virgin is not always the cheapest or best deal.

Hello all

I found your topic during a search on the internet and managed to book a really bargin priced trip in UC to LAX all this prior to the offer becoming public news...saving us an incredible amount. Hence I've now joined just to say a big thank you to all of you for sharing the info.
