To add to what slinky was saying, the seat fully visible in the pic is 19A. I personally would prefer to see more people but that's just me. You might like the privacy

18A is a good seat if you are travelling alone [y] 19A better!

There was a plan to replace the IFBT station with a changing room - not sure if this has been completed on the 747s.

The suites on a 747 are known to be wider that the 346, so you should be more comfortable.

Awesome [y] I'm travelling on my own but unfortunately 19A was not available. Only a day to go, and 2 hours until I can check-in online, I can't wait! [:D]

Can I check in online if I booked through a travel agent?

Yes, so long as you have a PNR

Is that the same as my booking number that I used to log in to select my seats?

Cool! I'm got 2 hand luggage, a small backpack and a small shoulder camera bag. I think this should be OK to take onboard?

Also I have completed the online check-in, if I print my baording pass will i be issued with a proper one at the bag-drop? Since this is my 1st UC flight I'd like to collect the boading pass [:p]

No need to print the pass.

Just go to the Upper Class check in and be issued your purple pass there.

Just to say, the old beauty area has been taken out now and has not been replaced with anything. I really like the A Zone on the 747, and much prefer flying on the 747's to the A346's, but that is just a personal thing.

I agree, don't go to bag drop, go the UC check in, much quicker and great if it is your first UC experience!

Enjoy

Just make sure your liquids / toiletries and other stuff complies with the rules and limits, otherwise you'll be checking that backpacK!

From my check-in confirmation email:

quote:Cabin Baggage Allowance
Upper Class: 2 bags 23x35x55cm (9x14x22in) OR 1 garment bag 20cm (8in) thick when folded, PLUS 1 briefcase/laptop computer Total combined weight - 16kg/35lb, maximum of 8kg/18lb per piece.

Wow, I could put my laptop in a separate laptop case but that will mean Im carrying 2 shoulder bags and one backpack, a bit too much I think!
