Upgrading from LHR to LAX

Hi,

Me and my friend have booked our tickets and are flying economy to LAX 3rd september & returning to LHR from Las Vegas 12th sept. This is for our 30th birthdays.

We would love to fly premium economy but can't afford the prices quoted. Even just upgrading outbound would be great.

Do any of you guys know of any tricks to get a cheaper upgrade?

You do know that if you're flying with Virgin on both sectors, you'll be flying out of London Heathrow and into London Gatwick? (I know people that have been unstuck by this!)

Anyway, assuming that's OK, they sometimes offer Airport Upgrades at a discount. Gatwick flights at around £200 each way, Heathrow ones vary, but typically around £2-500 each way. It completely depends on how busy it is on the day, but is one way to do it.

Thanks for that yep i've got it covered taking off from LHR and coming back into Gatwick.

Will see how much Heathrow are charging on the day. Our budget isn't that great but will see what they come up with.
