Still rather have the 4xmiles by booking on the VS Black AmEx, although it's good to see a little benefit for Plat card holders.

whats a 'VS black amex' ? - I spend over $120,000 a year on my card, and never had an offer for an upgrade above basic level!

do you have a VS white amex? or a platinum amex?

I always get declined whenever i apply for virgin/MBNA cards yet I have a platinum american express, but oh well. I also received the 2 for 1 points with AMEX and Virgin Atlantic bit annoying as I have already booked all the big flights for the year grrrrr. Hopefully the family will go on a trip somewhere so i can book on amex and get some well needed points.

In the UK their are two levels of card, the white, non fee card or the black, 115 annual fee card, the black card has double mile earnings and also lower spend amounts for the reward vouchers. These are only available to UK FC members.

In the US, you have the Bank of America card, where there is only one choice, and different benefits, including the ability to earn TP's through spending rather than flying.
