Chances are the powers that be will put out an offer that the general public will think is an amazing deal, but on closer inspection will turn out to be not so good.

I could off course be wrong.

Was at the Oval last night with some VS peeps and agents watching the Twenty20 and the general consensus was that some of the offerings for this have been ridiculous but that we should all prepare to be pretty amazed at what they are going to bring out soon!
We shall see but I am prepared to be dissappointed. (Having said that I am prepared to spend cash and/or miles if anything good does crop up!)

Some of the PE sale fares have been quite good in the 25th offer but I really do hope that VS pull out a show-stopper sale like BA have the last two times. Some amazingly dirt cheap fares in all cabins (not just y and W) would be great!

Thanks,
Sarah

I am sure there would plenty of disappointed people if VS do not pull a huge rabbit out of the bag to mark the Anniversary

What is the actual date of the anniversary?
Will it be the date of the first flight on June 22nd?

That works well as it is a Monday but it does mean that unless we get all the contracts through on Friday I won't be able to give you all a heads up of what's going on.

By contracts, do you mean legal documents that may be subject to confidentiality clauses?

Nope, sorry, good clarification the fare sheets which we can start to sell as soon as we received them unless they have a clause saying that they are no valid for sale until the Monday in which case I keep stumm!

The Chicago 25th Anniv sale fare taht came out today on VS website had a sales period of:
'Sale Period - 27MAY09-03JUN09' so that is why we could start to advertise it before it was updated on the VS site.

We usually get these the evening before the special offer is released on the website to give us a bit of time to get our marketing up and running but for the 22nd June I don't think they'll give it to us that early.

We are also very VERY careful about not breaking any contracts or confidentiality clauses that might mean VS get annoyed with us as they are pretty strict about this. I am a complete geek about this and about staff here not breaking the rules at all.
