Just discovered an interesting thing about this points scheme which I thought I should share.

I signed up online after picking up a "weou" card at my local Texaco petrol station. The scheme is fairly standard (1 point for every £1 spent on fuel / get 1,000 points and exchange them for 1,000 miles)

It seemed easy to register my card online and the points started building as I filled up every time. (I spend a lot on fuel!)

After a week or two, one of the staff suggested that I register a second card for my partner so that I could earn points from her fuel purchases too. "Good idea!" I said, picking up another card from the counter.

Needless to say, 'Er Indoors immediately lost the card.

I went back to the bloke at the garage, and he told me to take another card and add it to the account.

"Surely I would then have 3 cards on one account?" I said.

He assured me that it wouldn't matter. This got me thinking...

...[i][i][i]

[?]How many cards can be used to earn points for one account?[?]

I have now got 6 cards registered and as far as I can tell, they all earn points to my account. (A big thank you to Nicola, Shaun, Phil, Jamie and Simon!)

The big questions are... 1 - How many cards can earn me points?

2 - Does anyone want a card?!

Anyone else tried this or have any insider knowledge of the scheme?

I have been doing this for years with the assistance of friends and family.

Just update the name and address on your account online with weou before putting a claim through and no problem everytime.

Having done it once I have never had to change back, although when I originally registered I did have to have seperate details (this was several years ago now)

Used to be 600 miles exchanged for 1000 miles but they simplified the system to be 1:1 (loosing 40% of the value!)

That's when I stopped using my Weou card.

Well if your buying the fuel anyway its still extra miles...
I felt sorry for those who didn't convert their miles before the 1:1 ratio change..

Reading this has got me thinking. I have applied online for a Texaco weo.u. card just waiting for it to come. I reckon if I have one card and my husband the other all on one account and we pay for our fuel using our Virgin mastercard which earns us 1 mile for every pound spent and we collect the Texaco stars as well we will be quids in with our air miles. [8D] What do you reckon?

Or you could pay the £80 yearly fee for VS MC and earn a total of 3 points per £ (2 on the MC + 1 with the WEOU) £5k a year on fuel (which is the min I spend) gives you an extra 15k miles. All for fuel you would be buying anyway.
