crew schedules

it interests me in where crew are scheduled to fly every month and what the rotas are like how many hours worked etc... does a crew member mind puttin there months rota on the site. hoe many flights per week do you do?

From what i have heard on this board and others- i think its something like 5 flights a month.

East Coast USA and india- is a one night stay, 2 nights west coast, south africa, asia. LOS and PHC are daytime stays onyl due to security.

With introduction of SYD- crew now operate LHR-HKG, have 2 days off, HKG-SYD 3 days off, SYD-HKG 2 days off and HKG LHR. I believe

We get betweeen 5 and 6 flights a month.
Trip patterns are as follows. AMOUNT OF TIME DOWN ROUTE

NEW YORK 1,2 OR 3 NIGHTS DEPENDING ON WHICH FLIGHT YOU ARE ON
SAN FRAN 2 NIGHTS
LA 2 NIGHTS
BOSTON 1 NIGHT OR 4 NIGHTS DEPENDING ON WHICH DAY YOU FLY
WASHINGTON 1 NIGHT
TOKYO 2 NIGHTS
SHANGHAI 2.3 OR 4 NIGHTS DEPENDING ON WHICH DAY YOU FLY
JOBURG 1 NIGHT
CAPE TOWN 2,3 OR 4 NIGHTS DEPENDING ON WHICH DAY YOU FLY
PORT HARCOURT 16 HOURS
LAGOS 1,2 OR 3 NIGHTS DEPENDING ON WHICH FLIGHT,DAY AND AIRLINE VS OR VK
DELHI 1 NIGHT
MUMBAI 2 OR 3 DEPENDING ON WHICH DAY YOU FLY
HONG-KONG-SYDNEY TOTAL 9. BROKEN DOWN AS FOLLOWS HGK 2 NIGHTS SYD 1 NIGHT HKG 2 NIGHTS SO 5 NIGHTS IN A HOTEL THE REST ARE FLYING.
ORLANDO 1 OR 2 NIGHTS DEPENDING ON WHICH FLIGHT ON WHICH DAY
MIAMI 1 NIGHT
LAS VEGAS 2,3,4 DEPENDING ON WHICH DAY YOU FLY
ALL THE CARRIBBEAN FLIGHTS ARE COMPLICATED THEY CAN RANGE FROM 1 TO 5 NIGHTS DEPENDING ON DAY DESTINATION FLIGHT.

MY ROTA FOR AUG IS LIKE THIS.

NEW YORK 1 NIGHT
LOS 1 NIGHT
LAX 2 NIGHTS
BOS 1 NIGHT
NEW YORK 1 NIGHT
NEW YORK 1 NIGHT

EACH ONE NIGHT TRIP TAKES UP 3 DAYS AND EACH 2 NIGHT TRIP TAKES UP 4

HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE

Crew also do repositioning flights too though so dont always fly back from where they came!!

What fare code are the repositioning flights?

I doubt they earn FF miles!

How can BOS be 4 nights when the flights are daily? Thought u would only get a 1 nighter there

Beacause some days we fly a 747 there and other days a smaller A/C so the excess crew stay there until the next 747 flight.

Ahh, i see. Makes sense. How does the repositioning flights work. Do you fly out as a passenger the day before to operate an aircraft back?

It depends some crew dont like being away from home for more than 1 night

After chatting to and hearing crew talk on other flights, am I right in thinking that everybody hates doing MCO?

Crew hate doing MCO,MIA flights because they are really long days/flights and we only get one night there. We also dont get much money

Faves are SFO really good mony for it and nice city. CPT just got is FAB
