I'm happier to see what a fine player Obertan looks like he might be, all his appearances to date have impressed me. He could do with using both feet a bit more but it's early days yet, hopefully it'll get drilled into him.

Blew a big chance to go level on points yesterday but at least it wasn't as bad as it could've been.
I feel United need to be top before we play Arsenal at the end of Jan if we are to have a hope of winning the league.
Fergie made me laugh moaning about the lack of added time. He was right, not enough time was added for subs and injuries but it really didn't matter, they could've played for another hour and wouldn't scored.

GJ, any chance of shortening the 'Owen' post a bit, I'm scrolling off the edge of the screen (I won't care once we're on page 10 though).

I was at the Fulham game, it was shocking. Admittedly we're seriously struggling with the defensive injuries but even so, we've not played that badly for a long time. Fair play to Fulham though, they knew how to get at that defence we had out and deserved the three points.
I can't see us wining the league having said that, Chelsea are struggling a little too so things really aren't as bad as they could've been.

It's a poor standard in the league this year that's for sure, makes others think they have a chance though so could be more exciting.

I was so releived at the final whistle as I was desperate to get away, it was flipping freezing, a poor performance and someone poked me in the eye (the day after I'd had laser eye surgery[ii])

I was actually thinking that the league's standard seems to have slacked this year, I'm not quite sure why - maybe I just haven't followed the transfer markets closely enough. But the teams have struggled in Europe, where they were strolling in previous years. We've sold too much all of us?

Alana, while it is a shock defeat, anything that brings joy to the heart of Doctor Vipond brings some small amount of joy to my own. Magnanimity in victory and grace in defeat and all that rot...

Fair play, Leeds.

Mate, please don't make the assumption that all Northerners would've supported L**ds today (especially me!) - those of us West of Pudsey are happy to see that lot suffer defeat by any hands [:)]

Cheers

Fair play to Leeds, they deserved it. Yes, we were crap but you couldn't take anything away from Leeds. Sums up our season and that sort of defeat had been coming. A kick up the arse it was but I doubt it'll do any good, we just don't have a strong enough squad. We've been mostly playing crap for 18 months, we only did what we did last season because of Ronaldo.
I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, yeah, and in purely puerile fashion I could retort that MUFC had been laughed at for the twenty years prior to that bla bla bla ... didn't we do this a year ago on the previous Premier League thread ? [ii]

More to the point, does it ever get old? Nah, it's still fun.
