Back on topic.. [;)]

Not a flake here in West Berkshire. Clear skies at the moment but a very strong, biting wind blowing. If we do get any it could make tomorrow very interesting indeed. Just dug out my ex-Post Office chain shoes.

I think that's Danone

Damart make thermal undies, among other things. In the 80's they use to send out catalogues every other week. http://www.damart.co.uk/home

Nowt down here in t'South West either - I soooo miss Bratfordian winters [:(] Still, makes me laugh when it does occasionally snow down here and this lot try to deal with it [:D]

Buckets of the stuff here in Sussex! No way we can get cars out & down hill. Gatwick looks a mess, departures all cancelled/delayed - nothing landed so far this morning, diversions galore (incl VS) [:0]

BA's flight from LHR to BEG is cancelled today because of snow at LHR. Unbelievable. We have had over 36 inches of snow in the past 3 days and the airport was closed for 20 minutes. Get a grip London!

The knock-on impact of the diversions will cause mayhem later on I guess. Looks like VS from Bridgetown went to LHR and Orlando (VS28) to MAN.

EDIT: 'Due to weather conditions, flight VS28/17DEC has been diverted to Manchester. Passengers will be transferred to Gatwick via coaches'

Well, despite forecasts to the contrary, we've got a fair old covering up here and it's still coming down rather heavily as I type. You'd be made up, Michael.

However, having let a very giddy Tizer off her straining leash into the garden this morning, I'm reliably informed that as far as snowman-making is concerned it is, in fact, the 'wrong kind of snow'. As such, she was cold, bored and back in front of CBeebies inside 10 minutes flat. I'm worried she may be turning into a Southerner...

I can confirm that it is the wrong sort of snow down here in the South too, too powdery for snowballs. The dogs didn't seem to give a stuff about that however, great fun was had by all[:X]

I didn't need my little shovel in the end (good job as the only one I have is from the companion set) but threw a bag of dishwasher salt along the garden path in order that the postman and housekeeper don't slip over and sue me - it was bl**dy slippery in London this morning.

Apparently, it hasn't done much to shift the snow, but it has left the path smelling lemony fresh...

At 6.30am today (whilst I do manly things like de-snowing the cars)Our 9 year old Goldern Retriever, yet again starts munching snow like its candyfloss only to throw it all back up [:$]

You'd think she'd of learnt by now...[V]
