This is my schedule for the next few days

SATURDAY LONDON Euston - Crewe - HOLYHEAD
SATURDAY HOLYHEAD - Irish Ferries "Ulysses" - DUBLIN

SUNDAY DUBLIN Heuston - GALWAY
SUNDAY GALWAY - Limerick - CORK
SUNDAY CORK - DUBLIN Heuston

MONDAY DUBLIN - Irish Ferries "Swift" - HOLYHEAD
MONDAY HOLYHEAD - Chester - LONDON Euston

All for some pictures of boats, trains, stations and Ireland in general.

I don't think it is mad, if taking pictures of boats, trains and stations is your thing. Any excuse for a visit to the fair Emerald Isle is a good one in my book. :D

The only comment I would make is that, if it was me doing it, I wouldn't want to be sitting 'down the back', I would want to be doing it in some comfort, with lounges and drinks readily accessible. :w

How are you doing the Galway - Limerick - Cork leg? The Galway-Limerick rail link only opened this past week and to complete the journey to Cork you would have to take a train to Limerick Junction and then get the Cork train. The most direct way would be by bus.

Given Sunday timetables I wonder if you would be able to do the trip around Ireland in the one day but perhaps you have already worked it out. It's not for the faint-hearted! :0

Galway to Limerick is on the new train service - 4 trains on Sunday.
I should have about 60 minutes in each place.
