Big thumbs up from this house too!! He's quite bonkers so it looks like it will be a lot of fun. Also liked Amy and I think the partnership should be very good.
Big thumbs up here too. It was way better than I thought it was going to be

Thought Matt Smith was a bit of a tit when he appeared on Jonathan Ross and The One Show, but turned out to be a good show. Was worried he was going to be another Sylvester McCoy. God forbid...
He had a very difficult act to follow in Mr Tennant, but I think he pulled it off.
I was a little more concerned about the departure of Russell T Davies who, in my humble opinion, has the most fantastic mind and writing skill. I have to say that on both accounts first impressions were very positive.
I could also make some quite bawdy, sexist comments about the police attire worn by Amy, but will resist.
Will certainly be watching with interest over the next few weeks.

Oh don't worry. I think she could turn me.

Not sure about the new title music but the incidental music was good - hope they keep some of that - especially the themes used when the little figures Amy had made leasding up us seeing her wedding dress - for future episodes.
That was a nice twist though - her saying she had no plans and neglecting to mention her wedding!
The story was OK but provided a good introduction to both of the new lead characters.
FYI there is a BBC Points of View thread saying the BBC was anti-christian because Amelia was 'praying' to Santa and not God.
Overall three paws up !
