I am not so sure Tonty. Bearing in mind the times we are in, maybe just maybe a GOOD balance can be found amongst the tories and the libs. I think that we have to start judging these parties on NOW rather than BEFORE.

This voter has his fingers firmly crossed. ii)

tontybear wrote:So transport issues ...

whats going to happen re expansion of LHR (which the 'city' and 'business' wants) and high speed rail?

Well IMHO they are pretty close with regards to the major transport issues.

They both oppose a third LHR runway.

Lib Dems dont want any further South Eastern airport expansions (read no 2nd runway at STN or LGW)

Cons wont add 2nd runways to LGW or STN

Both committed to Cross Rail in London.

Lib Dems want high speed rail to North of England

Cons want high speed rail network across the UK

The only major difference is concerning tolls on motorways, Cons oppose, Lib Dems are broadly in favour.

I think we could well see this government being a lot stronger than most will give it.

Just watched Ant and Dec give their first joint press conference from the garden of No. 10. Interesting, well thought out and fairly convincing, let us hope, for the good of the country that it works and lasts.

Paddy Power is giving 12/1 on another election in 2010 and 8/1 in 2011, seems like good odds to me.

I agree with Tonty - it will take some time for the gloss to erode and true natures to emerge. Question is ... when?

I see william Hague ios going to washington on Friday. does that mean he'll be flying Vigin?

would it be wrong of me to wish the flight was delayed due to congestion because LHR is operasting at 99% capacity and the 3rd runway was to help sort that out

Which is just the first of dumb mistakes they will make.

However, ConDems got me thinking, how about:

LiCons
LiCs
ConLis
TorLibs
etc.

Yes - the VS IAD flights are Govt Troopers so I would expect him and his entourage to take over UC and bump other PAX down or off.

Unless he decides to go crab air ofcourse
