So, am booked for a RC at 10 a.m. on the 28th ... anyone had one and please would you comment. Am planning not to shave that morning nor pluck my eyebrows (not that I'm Dennis Healey) for a week or two b4 :)

I will include a full description with my TR for my flight to SFO next Wednesday 7th. I booked a couple of weeks back and am so looking forward to it.

Likewise I am laying of the eyebrows and think it will be strange turning up unshaven that morning, but I can't wait!!!

The eyebrow plucking is definately an 'experience'! I know what you mean about not shaving, the same goes with having a haircut, I wouldnt dream of leaving the house let alone turning up at the clubhouse not looking like a million dollars... ;)

We had a right good dance to Rhinestone Cowboy while out clubbing a few weekends ago. Its a fabulous song!

Eyebrow plucking ... had mine done a few weeks ago, looks much nicer now. Reminds me of a story about having eyebrows shaped with wax. A friend was doing an Epilation course. When having your eyebrows waxed you use some vaseline on them to protect the bits you don't want to rip off. Well on this course all was going well on the first subjects, then they swapped over. A few minutes later one of them screamed out, well i can't repeat it as the word censor will kick in. Apparently the waxer hadn't put on any vaseline and removed the entire eyebrow!! [:0]

Anyway, i'm hoping to get a Bronze Cow treatment at the CH when we are there in a few weeks - I inspired the phrase pasty white and don't want to scare the locals too much.

Wasn't planning on TRing the outward bound and just doing a small one on the return so I can comment on GNF. So will comment on Rhinestone Cowboy here.

Walked into lounge area and after a brief wait was shown into a curtained off area - well beaded curtain - so still see through. Had massage explained and was asked how I shave myself and skin type. She then held up a towel to protect my modesty whilst I got topless (;)) and then installed me on a vibrating massage chair and covered me with towels. The chair was ineffectual in the extreme, rather than massaging me it felt like I was lieing on a table top whilst someone randomly drummed their fingers - hardly any pressure and weirdly random. I told her that I thought the seat was malfunctioning and she confirmed that another pax had described it as "annoying" and for it to be turned off. She said that she'd report it tech.

She then proceeded to the pressure point massage which involved some good deep tissue work. An exfoliation followed, then hot towels and some unguent for shaving. All the while your eyes are covered in scented pads to block out the very bright halogen lights overhead. Initially she shaved with the direction of hair growth and then re-hot toweled then shaved against. She finished this with an astringent toner to close the pores then an aromatherapy moisturising balm.

Eyebrows weren't offered and frankly she'd be hard pressed to do it in the time allocated. Towels for modesty once again, tip and on my way as my flight was being called.

Have to say shave wasn't as close as it could have been - perhaps too much time on the peripherals? Pleasant enough but not noticeably better than the old shave, just the added benefit of a massage.

Hmm, sounds like its rather enjoyable. I guess that since the treatments are fairly new they have got to get the pacing and flow sorted out to get it all done in the allocated time. Will be interesting to hear a comparison of another treatment in a few months time.
