I am truly sorry for all those PAX who have got stranded by all the problems.

I'm coming back to Blighty from NYC this Weds, but by random chance am flying BA: that special flight into London City Airport (and back). Am hopeful it will be all ok, as LCY has not been so badly hit.

I'm a FC Au holder, and normally fly VS metal UC, but... BA's credit card gives 2 for 1 redemption voucher when you spend $30k a year, which I easily do, so thats what me and Ms. Snowflake will be coming home on. Hurrah for random chance.

Will post a trip report in New Year, as it will be an interesting experience. All business BA4 out and BA1 back - the old Concorde numbers, sniff.

Hope you are OK getting back.

One thing I would warn of though is that LCY has a v short runway and the unique nature of its operations (steep approach etc) means that if there is any fog/snow on Wednesday it may close much earlier than 'normal' airports like LHR and LGW.

thanks. you are right, so: fingers crossed. don't wish to tempt fate.

although Stansted would suit my travel plans even better if they diverted to that!

Didn't know BA had done that with the old Concorde numbers - now that has made me all nostalgic and very, very, sad!!!

Oh well, that's progress - apparently!
