Hello, one of our friends on the Dibb is considering booking a UCS flight through their VH holiday booking, apparantly it says there are no flying club miles for this in the 2005 brochure, is that true.

I have always got mine.

Anyone knows can tell me then I can help this lady from the Dibb.

Thanks

As far as I am aware VH use Z class for UC bookings.

Phil (Buffy)

Edit: So does qualify for miles

I believe VH use Z (mileage accruable)

MMM, thats what I thought but she put a link up for the VH upgrade page and it says under 2005 that UC upgrades do not qualify for limo or miles, but its not written under the 2006 list.

I even got UC miles for cluborlandoclass once from manchester.

Curious.

VH do indeed book you in Z for all UC flights. Quite amusing as your fare code on your ticket is always 'ZIT' :)

Agreed though that it does say this on the VH web page
and I quote:

Please note that for Upper Class, limousine transfers and Flying Club miles are not included in this supplement

Which could cause confusion and needs updating accordingly

Are you all sure that they do not book you into sat Y class and upgrade you by some means as they bookings all seem to done as some kind of 'Upgrade' This could potentially mean no or fewer miles.

Yes, sure.

The only option for a non-rev upgrade would be if VS decided (out of the kindness of their hearts...) to allow a VH passenger to use miles to upgrade at the airport.

Otherwise, it's a standard UC trip, 200% miles + 5 TP's each way.

VH have said on and off for the last 6 years no miles for UC,tickets have always been booked in either D(finished about 3 years ago) or now always Z.

I was on a fly-drive in May through VH and got my 200% miles, and always have done in the past with VH whatever class of travel.

While you'll always earn miles, it certainly won't be 200% regardless of class of travel ;)

It'll be 100% Y, 150% W, 200% J. (+25% for Au)
