Just a quick trip report, a last minute (ie customer screaming server screwed - get up here) trip up to Manchester. Completely unplanned, though i was impressed that i booked a flight at 11 am and was sat on the plane by 1pm!!
Security at T5 was quite thorough, scanning my laptop bag 3 times, they couldn't find anything in the bag, but said it was due to the density of the bag of USB and network cables in the bag!
The flight itself was great, managed to blag myself 3 seats in the row, though as travel time was about 40 minutes didn't get to take advantage at all!
Service quick but a little stingy, a small coke and small bag of crisps or a biscuit, crisps were badged BAm, and I have to say they were very nice.
The trouble with an LHR - Manchester flight is its like getting on a bus, and is very short. Free papers are a nice touch, as is using the BA iphone app which is very polished. Boarding card on the iphone is cool (well being a techie and a geek what else would you expect).
Am hoping tomorrows trip back is as good. (Though not looking forward to paying the for the parking in Short Stay!)
