I see that the second phase of the club house is due to open later this year (ref:VS.com). However it doesn't say when or what we can expect. Of course it will double the size. But will there be any additional facilities over and above phase I. I must admit to a vested interest in the opening date in that I have some VS flights late November!

It won't be this year - last update I had was Feb next year.

Thanks,
Richard

Although it's a bit late for ideas, I was thinking that some cardio gym stuff would be a good way to spend some time before the flight - as long as the pax take a shower afterwards!

Perhaps just some quiet space - an area with no TV/laptops/mobiles.. just fresh coffee, and comfy chairs. The 'Chillout Zone'..

I was talking to the hairdresser in the clubhouse about this last week. I can't remember everything she said would be in phase two, but it included a 'sky restaurant' and a 6 screen cinema.

Do people really want this sort of thing before a flight? Especially since watching movies is one of the few things to pass the time on the plane..

LOADS more comfy seating is a total MUST. How many trip reports are on here saying "nowhere to sit" and "really busy" etc.

Hopefully they will dispense with some of the gimmicks and (as McCoy mentions) bring back a quiet library-like zone where you can relax before the flight...

Wonder what a "sky restaurant" is...[?] Perhaps that isn't a new control tower after all...[8D]

That's a restaurant where they have lots on the menu but when you look closer you realise that you've seen it all before, it's mostly rubbish and the rest of it repeats on you.:)

..and on a windy, rainy day, the view is rubbish, and you end up reading a book instead.
