XX0000 DXB-DXB 14 APR 12 (CHARTER)

After a largely uneventful, although enjoyable overnight flight (but too short, not enough sleep!) in BA F from LHR, the missus and I took the helicopter ride from DXB to Burj al Arab.

We were greeted at the aircraft door on the airbridge, guided down the steps onto the tarmac where a Merc awaited.

Then a five minute airside drive around the airport to the Al Majlis private immigration suite, where all the formalities were arranged for us while we chomped on juice and fresh fruit.

A further five minute drive to the al Maktoum's private hanger where the helicopter was waiting for us.

A fully blinged out gold plated interior greeted us, I thought Mike Myers was going to jump out at any time.

Fantastic view all the way for the ten minute journey, the last 3 minutes or so here in glorious technicolour.
