Actually, this ran US tv (can't remember which stations) more than a year ago--met with mixed response ranging as brilliant to nastily homophobic. Personally I think space is more about well, space--stretching, leaning back--and not so much people obnoxiously invading that space (although there is always that odd occasion).
Personally I think it's hilarious ... my business partner (who's quite straight) mentions it every time we fly to the US in PE (I'm not that straight) and we always chortle. Though I hasten to add I look like neither of the characters!!!
There's a plane at JFK, to fly you back from far away all those dark and frantic transatlantic miles
I doubt we will ever get good averts like this on our tvs. They ban anything that is remotely funny and bombard us with repetative drivvel. One of my favourites was Regan and Carter impersonators advertising paint " Maaaarkit" and "Blimee,I said Parisian Moonlight white" . It seems it got banned for glorifying speed or was it dodgy cockney accents? Did anyone ever see the fisherman and the bear having a fight over a salmon by the side of a river? It was an advert for John West and had the bear doing an Ali Shuffle before slapping the fisherman. If anyone knows a location for it I would love to see it again.
