Fort Lauderdale

Hi, we are going to be taking a cruise from Fort Lauderdale in November. I wondered if anyone knew how close FL airport is to the main port? It looks close on the map and initial research suggests a taxi ride takes 5-10 minutes and will cost between $10 - $20, but does anyone has first hand experience of doing this?

We will be dropping a hire car back, then grabbing a taxi over to the port. Any info would be appreciated.

Port Everglades - Fort Lauderdale Cruise Terminal is very close to FLL Airport. You are right a five minutes taxi ride. ~Very easy. Most of the main car rental companies have a shared rental location for both the Airport and Crusie Terminal Clients at the airport. They run regular free shuttle buses between the Airport Car rental offices and Port Everglades.
If you want the cheap option drop your car off and take the rental company shuttle bus to the Cruise Terminal!!
