According to the LHR mobements the last few days VFLY and VSEA have been operating on the VS9/10. Are these still J2000 just that I thought all flight (where operationally poss) were supposed to be with the suite?

I was on VS17/VS18 last week (TR's to follow when I get a moment), and I noticed in the run up that they were scheduled as an A343 J2000 config until about two weeks before - and some of the 17/18 services before me did indeed get that.

I (fortunately) got the A346 both ways (almost full load too from what I could see) - but it does seem that JFK/EWR are no longer guaranteed a suite this winter....

I guess the A343 config's are running behind schedule and mucking up the schedules a bit, as only 3 A343's are done, whereas 4 were scheduled by now (G-VHOL is late).

Frogive my ignorance here, but in the time I've been here, I still haven't a clue what the difference between a suite and a non-suite is.....is the suite those seats that become beds in specific areas?

Hi Xenole

Yes, the Suite (UCS) is the "pod" that transforms into a bed in UC. The non-suite equipped planes have what people on here refer to as (I think) the J2000 seats - I've only ever had these on the routes I flown so far in UC [:#] They are 'standard' seats - obvioulsy bigger and more comfortable than PE or Econ.

If you take a look at the photos forum, in the "cabins" section, you'll be able to see them. Or visit the VS website...:)

Nice video..could have done with a bit more showing how things work and a better look at the CH, but still interesting.

Sure all the Virgin aircraft I've flown on to and from the US had the suites, at least from what I could see whilst heading right past the bar :(

Should really ask on my next flight if I can have a quick look the UC cabin.......may get lucky.
