Have a look at this photo, one can immediatly see that this is not an UCS cabin, but the seats do a have a striking resemblance to VS. I wonder if the 'UCS' type seats (and design) are not therefore the property of VS and so allowing ANZ to use them.

Yes, Air NZ have a license to use the UCS design - it's been discussed on here before, see this thread amongst others (notably this one, this one, this one, and this one).
