WLAN on board?

Hi,

My first post ... have been reading for sometime already.

This could be also in IFE section but I couldn't decide, which this would be.

Is there any kind of Internet access on board? Maybe WLAN? There are many airlines already bringing those on board and I thought checking if VS would be one of them.

Hi Mikka and welcome, I do believe our 1st Finnish poster.
I am no expert but AFAIK there is no WLAN on board of VS metal at the moment, but I am sure some of the more experienced flyers will correct me if I am wrong.

Iain's right - there's no WLAN onboard.

There is a modem connection available in the seat, but it's charged at $9 per minute (handily, to your credit card [:0])

There may be a plan to put WiFi onboard (A380 springs to mind) for future aircraft, but I haven't heard of any plans to upgrade the existing ones yet...

I think the new lufthansa business class has WLAN

Many airlines do have a WLAN on board already. LH is currently installing it and SK has already all the longhaul aircrafts equipped.
