Destination info & tips sounds cool (a bit like the ones on the VS website?) - "V-Flyer members tips on what not to miss in [destination]"?

Must not forget a guide to your friendly CH invaders for easy recognition? :D

Cheers

I have no idea if this is already in there or not, because I have not bought it yet, but if not then maybe maps of all of the VS served terminals?

There are maps of the terminals, but only LHR & LGW currently. Not sure if it's possible to get hold of the others, and I think I was unsuccessful last time around, but I'll be looking into it again.

Like VS-EWR I have not seen the B-Book yet so maybe this is already there.

Is there a section on Children - both travelling with and Unaccompanied?

Ideas - SkyCot positions / policy for allocating, meals - what to expect, v-kids backback contents, adapting headphones to small heads, children in PE/UC etc.

Phil,

Actually, no, not much. A bit on what's in the K-iD pack and some other mentions, but not really as much as I'd like. Mind you, from your trip reports I know you're a bit of an expert in that area, so perhaps you can knock up a few paragraphs? ;)

Pete,

Figured I might be volunteering. I'll have a think (and a search) and see what I can come up with. Might need a little help with the formatting as I am not too sure what the style (I use the work loosely) of the book is.

The packing tips section? HighFlyers post is excellent and could be really useful inclusion.

Well I have mentioned this one before, but this really can save you a lot of time.

If you have a car hire booked with the on airport car hire firms at MCO be sure to walk straight past your assigned conveyer belt when collecting your luggage for the 2nd time and head straight down the escalators and get in the queue for your car-hire company. Once you have completed your paperwork pop back up-stairs and your luggage should be waiting for you. Pick them up and head straight for the car park to collect your car.

This process can easily save you 30 minutes.

I might be able to come up with a few bits and pieces. Maybe a few bits about your rights, especially with the new EU laws on disruption.

Like that idea,as I said in my post before, one of the good things about getting the book is the fact that you can look up the info while standing at the counter, this would be a perfect example of when you would need it.

Good one, Paul[y]. I think this is what Richard is thinking about (tips for each destination - see earlier post in the thread). Perhaps we can put these tips in a separate thread to make it easier to bring them all together as we update the book?

So I am here at the SQ F lounge in SIN wanting a "Blue Drink." Problem is that the bar mate does not know what that is and mcuth is not online. :D

Maybe have a favourite drinks section.

mcuth's Blue Drinks
Lady HF's Chocolate Surprise
Perfect way to pour a Ginnuess (they must wait 119.5 seconds), etc.

Excuse my ignorance :D but when is the new edition likely to be released?
#87213 by Pete
08 Dec 2005, 15:06
No definate timescales; the thing with the V-Book is that it's ready once there's enough new info to justify a new edition, and when Richard and I can commit enough time to work through it. A rough guess would be early January, but there are many things that may conspire to delay it a little ;)

LOL - it's a Blue Lagoon (and if you want a small change, ask them to make it with Bombay Sapphire, not vodka ;))

Maybe have a favourite drinks section.

Oooh, now there's an idea - I'm sure there's plenty of people that can share input for that! ;) Pete????

Cheers

I just knew there would be a contribution from the Lite Brigade! [:$]

Michael, you highlighted the point at hand in Sky's itinerary, when you reminded everyone that the SFO Clubhouse serves Liberty Anchor Steam! (And Sam Adams, but drink it on the East Coast only, IMO)

;)

Thanks a bunch mcuth! Saved the day as I had one pool-side at the KL Hilton. The KL Hilton's pool is Malaysia largest freeform pool.

Well the SFO CH only serves AS in a bottle, whereas ISTR that downstairs it's draught (and that's about the only flaw in the CH). I'm sure my views on Sam Adams are documented elsewhere on this forum, can't stand the stuff I'm afraid - bottled or draught, it's just plain offensive [:$]

Not a problem my young friend - hope you enjoyed [y][y]

And you just had to remind us of that didn't you? ;)
