LAX transfers between terminals

Hi all,
Flying to LA with VS next year, staying there for a week and then flying to Hawaii with UA ( don't judge me please! LOL).
Returning from HNL, we will have 4 hours to go from terminal 7 to terminal 2...
What is the best way to transfer?

It's possible to walk between terminals but not really recommended - like the rest of LA the airport's not very pedestrian friendly and the walk from T7-T2 involves negotiating a car park IIRC.

Easier to use the inter-terminal shuttle 'A' which leaves from outside the terminal. You should have plenty of time. http://www.lawa.org/welcome_lax.aspx?id=1878

with 4 hours there I would walk - if you walk past all the terminals (in a u shape) then I think you avoid the car park.

I would say it is about a 15 minute walk ( at a guess), have walked to Tom Bradley a few times from either 1 or 2 as the shops were better in that terminal.
