st Augustine Florida.

I will now be spending one extra day on holiday in March 2015 as I've swapped my flight to bag a couple of G's on the return from MCO.
Our holiday is in South Carolina and we drive down to Orlando.
We thought about an overnight at St. Augustine.
Has anyone been there?
Any hotel recommendations?
Any must see places?

We stayed there for a night about 3 years ago, it's a lovely place, we stayed in a holiday inn about a mile from the centre of town, which was right on the beach, the hotel is,still there but not a holiday inn anymore.

It's small enough that you can park the car and just walk around it quite easily and there's also a trolley bus that'll take you around the town.

We visited the lighthouse / fort and really just walked around for the day. there's lots of little back lanes and small shops to look at, and lots of little restaurants. We found one that was down an alley and the food was gorgeous and not,expensive.

Defiantly worth a visit for a day / overnight but not for any longer.

We are considering the Hilton, just up the road from the Fort so it should be a good base for a walk about.
