I am wanting to book two rooms at a USA Hilton but one needs a duration one night less than other as I'll be departing a day earlier. Anyone know how I can apply my HH Diamond privileges to both? I've regularly done this in past when dates are identical as the booking engine allows multi room booking but can't see a way round the different duration issue?

Thanks

When you speak of "Diamond privileges" do you mean lounge access? I think that those are vested in the holder of the Diamond card plus one guest, and not to anybody who is on the same booking. I have had experience of this being applied flexibly, however. If you are given an upgrade on both rooms to the Exec floors the problem then goes away.

Purely practically the HHonors site would, I think, allow you to make two bookings at the same property of different durations and give alternative traveller name for one of the bookings. From the booking pages "Your name will be associated to all rooms in the reservation. If needed, you can associate one additional guest name per room to allow them to check-in separate from your arrival.

Hope this helps

Not just the lounge access Paul but the room upgrade and free breakfast too. Previously when I've booked (with my parents in tow) & both rooms are on the one booking we've had both rooms upgraded and all benefited from the free breakfasts. Thanks for the tips for booking Paul.

Thanks

I am SPG plat which is probably the same as Hilton Diamond - this is what I have done in the past.
Make two separate bookings for exactly the dates I want and then swap rooms for the last night (so you actually book one night extra that you want and give the room to the other person).
To get them lounge access during their stay I usually have an extra key made for my room and give it to them to use to access the lounge.
