Gender specific christmas gifts from Virgin?

Got a christmas gift in the mail today from flying club - a very nicely packaged silk tie from Material London.

The accompanying note mentioned that I'm 'the type of chap that recognises the importance of a classic silk cravat.

Very nice gesture.

Except I'm a girl, and haven't worn a tie since I left school.

Anyone know if there are female oriented gifts going out?

Well I did receive something from Virgin this week that I have not received in a long time....

My Flying Club Statement.
It was strange as I have chosen to view mine online for sometime. Hope thats not all they wish to send me, although I appear to be out of favour this year after receiving invites to half a dozen or so events last year, this year, nothing.

Yes, I've just renewed gold for next year. I've had Christmas gifts before but they've always been something generic - slippers, wallets etc. This time I'm curious whether there's an assumption that gold's are usually boys or if there's a girly gift out there and that the (very nice if you'd wear it) tie was an error.

Sounds like a silly cock-up (ooo-errr [:o)]!) - you might want to try 'Manage your Account' in the VS web site to ensure they have the correct title for you ... if there's none then 'computer says' may apply!

I got a hamper delivered to me a couple of days back, but no clue where it came from! I'm wondering if that was a Flying Club gift!

I got a calendar today as well, but seeing as I am only a lowly red FC member, it must be through the competition they had.

Still, it's nice to win something for a change, even if it is only a calendar.
