Ok - now the results - happily in London now...

NEAR AS I CAN TELL SOME PEOPLE WERE MOVING THEIR ENTIRE HOME AS CARRY ON LUGGUAGE!

There were no checks for size, weight, number of items or anything after security as far as I could tell.

Ya'll had me scared - seems for no reason?

Very lucky, had entire row 60A,B,C. Could recline seat A without worry since no one behind.

Entertainment system was poor, found nothing but what appeared to be commercials after the first movie was over. Guess the other channels started again sometime. On radio, DJ talked over AT LEAST a full minute of a song. Sennheiser PX 250's were great, wore them even without plugging in - could hardly tell I was wearing them.

Food was average for an airline. Unlimited cocktails consisted on one trolly trip down the aisle.

Thanks for your help - see you in Trafalgar 12/31.

Glad the baggage issue went without a hitch, glt.

Just please be careful - you WILL come across a check-in agent or two that won't allow more than the policy amount (with a full "weigh your hand baggage on the scales please" treatment) if you continue to fly VS. As you've experienced, there are variances in the controls they place on each flight - some down to load, some down to personal choice/mood etc.

I guess the essence of the message is - don't expect to take your entire home as carry-on. There's a certain law that dictates the time you really need to will be the time they won't allow it ;)

Shame to hear the IFE and food/drink service let it down. How about elaborating a little in the Trip Reports section...?
