I was disappointed to learn today that my MIA-LHR R/T in May is on an A343 both directions. The reviews I've read are limited but less than stellar. Many think the aircraft are showing their age and, of course, they don't have the spacious feeling of the 744.

Does anyone have an opinion as to the "best" UCS suites on the A343?
What do you think of Rows 143 & 15? Does anyone have any experience in these suites?

Thank you very much for any help.

To be fair Michael, most of the negative comments about the 343 are in respect of Premium Economy.

When it comes to UCS - the seats are actually all the same (excluding the extra inch or two upstairs on a 744). The suites are likely to be newer than on a 744 - as the 343's were the last to be refitted, so you'll be fine.

My Fav UCS for 343 is 4K & 5K, sitting behing one another. Very private and not much foot traffic. Not ideal for couples, but I believe still better than say 4A & 4D in my opinion. I personally steer clear of the sub cabin further back and there is a lot a traffic from PE.

Like Steven I prefer 3A, it's a good seat away from all distractions - but I also like the 'A' side returning from the US because the window faces north ... hence no strong sunlight at dawn.

If you dont want to face anyone then choose row K. but as slinky09 said 3A is away from all distractions.:D

I like the B section best, I think it seems more private!:D

I would suggest row 14 and 15 if your using the snooze zone only.

Personally I much prefer to be in the front section of the Cabin as you dont feel as left out.

The A343 with UCS are fantastic as the whole aircraft has had a facelift.

For example new colour curtains in UC, new carpets in ALL cabins, more legroom in Y as the seats have been spread out, and some seats removed and the cabin is now red and blue no more orange.

The A343 aircraft look very smart and are cosy!!
