This is my first ever trip report! The longer I left it the harder it was to write one about our previous trips!

Bit of background, myself and TH on our 6th trip back to NYC, and 5th time in Upper. We managed to book an M class fare and upgrade with miles , rather than doing a full redemption. My aunty decided she would like to come along too so joined us, she couldn’t afford to fly upper so opted for PE, her first time flying anything above economy.

We had a cab booked for 11am and managed to be at the upper class wing in just under an hour, all went smoothly - i had rung up the night before to let them know my aunty would be with us and gave the cab registration.
The wing reminded me of checking into a hotel :D
Anyway within 5 minutes we were though the security lane and &
made our way to the lounge.
No issues guesting our aunty in, the lounge itself was very quiet when we arrived, and proceeded straight to our favorite seats behind the bar.
Only a short wait for our champagne and once i had finished that i went to book a manicure.
Managed a redhead & whisky cooler, and enjoyed the clubhouse burger whilst TH opted for some of the tapas options:

As ever the time seemed to fly and we proceeded to the bar for our ritual of one last drink before the flight. This was the super bramble:

After the second call we grabbed our bags and walked to what seemed to be the furthest gate to join Tubular Belle, i got my aunty settled in PE nand made my way up to 12K. The crew had stowed our hand luggage for us and we soon had a champagne in hand.

The inflight meal service started fairly shortly after take off, i opted for the salmon for starters and main, and a lovely toffee and pecan pudding for dessert:

TH avoided the dessert so managed to eat the cheese and grapes, afterwards we headed to the bar for a few drinks. We chatted to the FSM about our love for NYC, before being joined by the other CC.
The bar stayed quiet and we asked if we could bring a drink back to my aunt. The CC said to bring her up instead as it wasn't busy ^)
I proceeded to lose count of how many drinks we had, but we were interrupted by a short spell of turbulence so had to return to our seats.
I fell asleep whilst watching 'the equailiser' and awoke to find TH missing.........yes he was at the bar! I returned and had a bloody mary to perk me up. TH managed to get his mandatory crew photo, and proceeded to show the CC all his previous ones to see if they knew any of them!

We landed on time and through security very quickly, at the Yotel in Hells Kitchen by half 9!

We had a lovely time in NYC, managed to do lots of stuff we hadn't done before - concorde on intrepid, 9/11 museum, climbed the crown of the statue of liberty, good drinks to be had at Kiabacca bar and the Dead Rabbit

Thanks for a great TR. Sounds like you had great service and a great flight too :-) I'm on the VS9 in April as I'm heading back to NYC for the 7th time and like you, I always seem to be able to do things I haven't done before.

Glad you had a good time in NYC. I'm looking forward to my trip even more now :-)

Thanks for the TR. Good of the CC to suggest bring Aunty up to the bar.

We're heading out to NYC at the end of March for our sixth visit, and still finding new things to do. This time round we also have to arrange a surprise lunchtime event for one of our son's friends stag do.....
