Alan - as per jetwet's request, can I let you know he is a RifRafsterfairian ;)

Come on guys - it really is one to take over a few beers. For the moment can we not agree it is really hard to draw the line between silly PCism, on the one hand, and insulting humour on the other? Peace and light and all that.

Let's see, who beat the British and then saved them in two world wars? Oh yes, us.

And I think racism is a bit different than country bashing since racism deals with races not nationalities.

Whitefish, you live in Watford? Some of my relatives live in Croxley Green - near Rickmansworth.

Race v country. A very good point I had not considered before. I will have to think on that one. But my gut feel is that it's right.

Thank you for such a challenging thought (genuinely said not sarcastic, for the avoidance of doubt).

Gentlemen - Racism v Xenophobia v Patriotism is a fascinating debate, but it isn't a debate for V-Flyer.

I was going to ask that the thread go back on topic, but I think it is far too late for that. This one has run its course.

Entertaining though it has been, I will lock this thread and ask we get back to discussing matters aeronautical.
