Please can someone tell me is there a way of blocking people sending me private messages. Some people are sending me idiotic messages thinking I'm interested when I'm not at all, all very depressing. Also, there are some people on here taking everything FAR too seriously!

Thanks

Glad you found the option to turn off PMs. Strange you received 'looney' messages though - like all public forums we attract some weird people, usually trolls, from time to time. Indeed Tubelad was one such person, to whom you bear a striking likeness! But being attention seekers their activites have always been very public rather than conducted by PM. Are you able to say if these PMs were from a newly joined user, with no membership status or were they from one of our longest standing and most respected users - perhaps that is a rhetorical question!
Receiving emails is even more strange. In all my time here people have used PMs - there is no need to use email. Of course it may have been a Mod replying to an email from you. But I am sure a mod would not send an 'idiotic' message. How odd.

I wouldn't worry about easygoing - I have a feeling he's feeling on top of the world today rather than feeling left out.
