Given the source, I would suggest a pinch of salt for the moment. However I have never let the reliability of the source get in the way of a good rumour before!

I thought the Auction was to have your name at the front of the aircraft rather than actually have the name? Am I wrong? Also if I am wrong I also understand that the Auction was only to allow your name for 1 year, so that means that they will be changing the name of the Aircraft which I understand is incredibly bad luck.

The plane name is the name at the front of the aircraft, so whatever the winning bidder requested will go on the front of the plane, and will be what the plane is referred to

Yes, a year only. It would have been worth it if the christening were permanent. Still, im sure someone out there is a happy chappy to have their name on VYOU

As a side, i wonder what G-VYOU will be called when the year is up? With such an interesting registration the mind boggles.

I would love to see GLA-MCO, or any VS route from GLA.

I would of thought that VS would be more interested in starting a LHR-ORD route again before anything more to JFK

And that should go to show that no good can come from trolling a well run forum

For the naming competition, I think that not only should you get your chosen name, but also yourself (inside the aircraft, obviously!):D
