Orlando Immigration for the "Crocked" Flyer

I wonder if someone on here can help with this?
We are flying to MCO in 5 weeks & due to some daft acrobatics on my part, there is a good chance my leg will be in plaster. A request for special assistance on and off the plane is looking likely as I don't wish to get flattened in the "200yd Immigration Sprint".
I was just wondering, what happens to the people that have wheelchair assistance to disembark as we never seem to see them in the immigration hall. Also, will I be able to take my crutches on the plane with me & more importantly, my Husband off the plane with me.

Having previously worked in aeromedical repatriation I would say you will usually pass through a seperate channel or "jump the queue" with your passenger assistant who will push the chair. Your husband can go with you.

My experience is you will get through quicker than your fellow passengers. However, I have no experience on MCO.

When I took my mum who had had both knees replaced she could walk with the aid of sticks she didn't need any help off or on but was allowed early boarding because of her sticks and when at immigration we joined the normal immigration queue on off the staff spores her and pulled her and everyone travelling with her to another line which I believe was an empty crew lane

Pax require assistance do use the same lane as the crew which is separate from what the majority of pax use.

Aren't passengers requiring special assistance asked to wait until all other passengers are disembarked (hence the "miracle" flights some have attested to), so there's no question about her husband being allowed to leave the plane with her?

I passed through the immigration hall on Friday and confirm there is a separate lane for special assistance passengers. When you come to the immigration hall turn right and it is clearly sign posted. The line is substantially shorter than the other lines. Have a great time and the weather is improving nicely over here. I will endeavour to do a trip report over the next couple of days by the pool

As has been said above, the special assistance lane is to the far right of the Immigration Hall at MCO (beyond the US Citizens lanes) and is shared with Crew. You may be last off the plane, but you'll be through Immigration faster than a lot of the other passengers from your flight.
