VS certainly know how to take enjoyment out of UC.

I have just booked 2 Z fare tickets to DXB, but e-mail confirmation states these are non FC mileage earning flights. Surely this can't be correct. If it is I am seriously pi**ed off.

All previous z's I have booked have gotten full mileage.

Can anyone clarify please.

Thanks
Iain

Woah! Must be a mistake, surely [:0].

Have you called FC to check Iain? I wonder if it's something specific to DXB (or maybe this is VS' retaliation to BA's 3x miles offer... [}:)])

Either way, the T's & C's don't mention anything to that effect.

Hi Iain,

I called FC to check that I was going to be earning miles on my Z class fares and they confirmed that all Z fares earn miles. As Paul says, perhaps it's just DXB (but I doubt it!)

I would get ahold of them and raise hell if this is the case,as the T & C's show Z's are mile earning and if they didn't disclose that these fares were not then that is a clear breach of contract.

Thanks for the reassuring replies. A call in the morning will hopefully sort out. Will let you know the outcome.

Well I've just gone through my e-ticket email for my flight to DXB and can see nothing about it not being miles earning.

Hi,

If it is a normal paid for revenue flight, then that is a mistake. The only possible confusion I can think of is that MpM for Upper Class come out of the Z allocation, and obviously they do not earn miles or TP.

Thanks,
Richard

This page does have DXB (and all other destinations) as been able to earn miles on a Z fare.

It must be a mistake.

Ok, a quick call to the premier team sorted everything out. It is definately a mileage earning flight despite the contradiction on the confirmation e-mail.

Premier team were very helpful, although my initial call through to the call centre ( being red and all that) was handled professionally as well.

James & Sarah, we are in 5A & 5D, so not far to clink the champagne glasses.

Glad to hear that all is now sorted! Did they say what caused the error?

Fantastic! Will no doubt see you in the CH beforehand anyway, but this has the makings of being a very fun flight out!

No explanations as to the wrong message, maybe as Richard suggested.

Looking forward to the clubhouse already, need to book treatments now:D

I seem to recall you can only book treatments a month in advance now.

Thanks,
Richard
