Hi All

Long Time!

Thinking about crossing back....... I have skimmed through the last couple of months posts and thigs seem to be on the up, but I keep hearing about more cost cutting - anything I might notice?

But most importantly is the food back to the old days?
Inflight service a bit better?

I know it is vague, but you will I think know where I am comming from.

Cheers, and Happy New Year

Hi, I don't think food is on the up in Economy. The 2nd meal service is not what it used to be and the 'cold' breakfasts are dire. Having said that, I have been lucky enough to fly in Upper for the past year or so. Will be interesting to see what the others think.

No complaints about the food in Upper.

From my perspective the UC food is as poor as it has been over the last few years with no recent improvement. Cabin crew service seems to have improved a bit.

As far as I can see the food in Upper and EC is "ok" apart from the fact that "theres no more ruddy lamb"

Have noticed that flying out of the big city you are treated with smiles and respect, but if your flying out of MAN apparantly we are all trogs and will be treated accordingly.

Well for my 2 cents worth....I have been using VS UC for about 10 years, and personaly think the standards have gone down. The food is not as good as it used to be, and the level of service and general attitude from the crew has dropped. However the seats and IFE are a lot better. Dont get me wrong, the product is still very good, just not as good as it used to be. Obviously some is to do with cost cutting like all the airlines, and some is to do with the fact that as the airline gets bigger, it get a bit more impersonal. I still book VS whenever I can as, now if they could only fly to Singapore and more Australian cities....
