Michael,

Sorry for the newbie style question, but what exactly is a mcuth blue cocktail? I can't wait to try one!

If you imagined a million pounds, and then you imagined the most beautiful movie star you can, and then you imagined the sky during mid-summer when it's at its deepest, most alluring blue, and you put all of this in a tall glass with some ice, a little cheery and a large umbrella - then that is a Mcuth Blue;)

Very descriptive 99, but any chance you could tell me what's in it? I'd love to try such a sensual experience!

I quite agree, it sounds positively boring now I've read the ingredients. I'll always remember your description though whilst drinking it. :D

PS: How did I manage to post the same reply twice just then? I must be already under the influence of a Mcuth Blue. [:I]

If you really want to be a real trend setter try a sailor green. Actually it is a Caiparina (I'll leave you to look it up). Anyway I had 2 in a Brazilian airport and slept the whole flight home[y][y]

LOL - that's ok. As much as I love Sailor99's description above, very simply, it's a Blue Lagoon. Whilst it doesn't sound that interesting, the bog standard "1 oz. Vodka, 1 oz. Blue Curacao, Lemonade" recipe is very nice (in the SFO CH, you're likely to have Citron Vodka in place of "normal") - for another twist on this, get the bartender to replace vodka with Bombay Sapphire gin.

My favourite recipe is the one out of the Bombay Sapphire menu book (you might be able to tell I like Bombay Sapphire):
1 shot Bombay Sapphire gin
1 shot Vodka
1 shot Blue Curacao
1 shots fresh lime juice
1 shot sugar syrup
(alternatively, use Citron Vodka in place of the normal vodka)

(hmmm, as it's been asked a few times, I think I'll add it & the recipe to the FAQ post as well :D)

BTW, if you spot you've made a duplicate/erroneous post, you have the power to delete it - just use the delete reply button (Image) on the post you want to delete :)

PS Dave - LOL [:p]

Cheers

Michael

Back to alcohol on the plane:

I was stunned when I saw passengers at a bar in LGW North Terminal at 6.30am on their 2nd pint of lager in the summer! Wouldn't it be more sensible to stop alcohol being served in airports where the amounts drunk are far harder to monitor than on the aircraft itself? As someone pointed out earlier in the string, it's pretty hard to get smashed on the amounts of alcohol served outside the premium seats.

Never gonna happen, but it's a thought...
